Saturday Connection 4. 25. 2020

Psalm 145.8,9 The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.

In preparation for recording my sermon this morning for tomorrow’s publication I read the Book of Romans chapters 1-11. Romans 12:1 begins with the word ‘therefore.’ What is it therefore?

April 5 Palm Sunday Unprecedented Deliverance: Romans 8:1

April 12 Easter Sunday Unprecedented Effort: Romans 8:28

April 19 Unprecedented Conclusion: Romans 8:37-39

April 26 Unprecedented Approval: Romans 12:1,2

Romans 12:1-2 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

A little lightheartedness is always good. Matthew West is a contemporary Christian recording artist many of us are familiar with. Well, he has a young family and they recorded this song while in “quarantine life.”

There are more than a few friends and family whom we now know that have contracted COVID 19 as well as struggling with extensive medical issues. The financial issues are great too! May I please encourage us to pray always and share with each one the love of Jesus for their lives. We do have a Healer-Provider-Sustainer-Savior who experienced all the weakness of human sufferings and is most familiar with each need. Please extend the grace of God to them through your words and actions. You are the church. Be the church. You are the best church.

Speaking of Christian Life Chapel, church, all our bills are paid. Thank you for all you do!

Due to the state restrictions for the COVID-19 virus we are planning our 2020 Colchester National Day of Prayer at the Abundant Life Church Parking Lot! May 7, 2020. Please arrive by 6pm. You will receive a program and a phone number to join the conference call and participate in our prayer time! We look forward to gathering with our sister Church, Christian Life Chapel! – Colleen Bjorbekk, New London County Coordinator

Enjoy your day, a sunny day indeed. It will not be long now. Looking forward to tomorrow when we meet as a church while not being at church.

Go to and listen to the prerecorded sermon at your convenience.
