I am writing a 36th website CONNECTIONS/Email Blog today. 36 days of not being together as a church family as we had enjoyed before. We are entering a 5th week of not worshipping together at church. Yet we meet as a church in other ways. Thank you for staying connected and growing as a church. Your love, prayers, calls, quick visits, cards, internet presence (using tools like ZOOM and Join.me, church website use, social networking with the church of Jesus Christ around the world, and more). Your financial support. You have been wonderful. Thank you Kory for the further development of our church website www.christianlifechapel.org. There are more folks joining us right now than what we have had in church attendance.
I as your Pastor have so much to rejoice in. I praise God for you. The hardest part in all of this for me has been speaking to an empty auditorium, an empty room and each chair is empty. You got the point. My eyes are wet. I am forced to remind us that we stand and live each day before an audience of ONE. Thank you, Jesus, for you are the ONE we adore!
I am comforted and strengthened by God’s word to his people in the Old Testament to whom Yahweh would bring salvation. Zephaniah calls forth, referencing the glorious Day of the Lord in which we also rejoice, verse 17, “The Lord your God is in your midst a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
Do you feel like you are in the fire? Daniel 3.24 ff “Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up in haste. He declared to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” He answered and said, “But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.” My wife Linda and I were blessed in our worship yesterday, Sunday, by a new song to us: “Another in the fire.” Please take the next few minutes and worship with us (video has easy lyrics to read).
