Jesus was given ALL authority as the Son of Man.

Daniel 7:13-14 “I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.”

Matthew 28:18 “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me… – Jesus

The key word is “ALL’ authority…. Because of Jesus’ own death and resurrection, he now has all authority. The spheres in which he now exercises absolute authority are ENORMOUS and ENLARGED to include all of Earth and of Heaven.

What impact does that have on you?

Matthew 28:19,20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

When you, a follower of Jesus, while going, you are talking, making opportunities making disciples of all nations, by leading them to Christ, and building them up in Christ, and you are doing so with the full authority of Jesus Christ behind you!

Question: Has God put you on earth simply to have a family, enjoy a career and a few hobbies, and then to retire with pleasures and comforts and leave the job to others?

Answer: God has sent you to us with a great sense of urgency and encouragement to continue this mission of God throughout all your relationships and all your life experiences and they each become a means to that end of fulfilling the Great Commissions as long a God gives you breath.

My Commitment: When people begin to resist my pursuit of this mission and call me narrow-minded or fanatical, or when I become tired and discouraged I will stay focused, remembering that I am authorized to do what I am dong!

Ravi Zacharias was speaking this past January in Atlanta to a massive crowd of Christian Young Adults, The Passion Conference. Here is the link to that amazing final sermon Ravi has preached…

Praise the Lord, our friend Jim Cockerham has survived his bout with COVID 19. How special it was to hear him laugh over the phone and thanking God for deliverance. He is still a resident in a CT nursing where numbers died.

Be both entertained and God-blessed. Check this out. Keith and Kristyn Getty (we sing a lot of Getty songs/hymns at church) post a hymn sing every week with their four young daughters around the piano. You already know most of them. This week it is a Bluegrass Hymn Sing. It is hilarious and God honoring. What a blessing to witness a young godly family in action singing His praises. Google search “Getty Music Hymn Sing” and all the videos are posted there for free. You do not need to subscribe.
